Blow Ye The Trumpet

Verse: 1
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion,
our Lord is coming back to earth again,
in the holy mountain sound the warning,
for all of those who wear the yoke of sin.

Chorus:
Tell your children and your children's children,
of the second coming of our king,
he will stand upon the mount of olives,
Salvation to the dieing world to bring.

Verse: 2
Joel prophesied with all his wisdom,
if we failed to walk the righteous path,
it will be to late to ask for mercy,
at the dawning of the day of wrath.
I know this song but it's not on Google or Uribe. In the 70s we sang it .my grandfather born in 1914 sang it. A lot. A lot of truth in this song now

I have the record album with this song on it by "The Hemphills". Joel Hemphill wrote it. The second version above is correct.

The second response is the song that I have sung by Carl and Pearl Butler on an old LP. For all you "youngsters," LP refers to the vinyl long-play record albums of yesteryear.

Blow Ye The Trumpet
by Joel Hemphill

(I)
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion
Jesus will come back to earth again
He went away to make a place for us
So we can spend eternity with Him

(II)
God gave us His word of revelation
About our life and how that it should be
How that He planned for us to love and serve Him
He made us to be all that we should be

(III) written by my pastor's wife: Pat Finch
Jesus came to earth to live among us
To show us what our God wants us to be
He's coming back and His reward is with Him
Let's live it, tell it, sing it, feed His sheep

(CHORUS)
Now tell your children and your children's children
That Jesus will come back to earth again
He will stand upon the mount of Olives
Salvation to a dying world to bring

Hope this helps - we love this one at my church

Blow ye the trumpet of Zion. Our Lord's coming back just like He said. Then it says something about putting His feet on the Mt. of Olives. My sister in law said if I could find the words she would sing it so please help me out.
Thanks
