Any of the Fanny Crosby hymns should strike a chord with the nursing home residents.

My friend Rosetta Moore used to sing "I won't be satisfied" like this:
I won't be satisfied until my Jesus I behold
I won't be satisfied until I walk on streets of pure gold
Those mansions bright those pearly gates will soon swing open wide
But until I'm with Him in that land I won't be satisfied
verse 1
To the isle of Patmos John was led to face his death alone
I've testified to the word of God and now I'm here all alone
He heard a voice and looked around He saw Jesus by his side
And until I'm with Him in that land I won't be satisfied
verse 2
To Nero's chop block Paul was led to face his death alone
I've fought a good fight I've finished my course and now I'm here all alone
He heard a voice and looked around He saw Jesus by his side
And until I'm with Him in that land I won't be satisfied

I recorded her singing it.

I remember more of I wont be satisfied...By faith I'll live, by faith I'll die, by faith I'll live again... I can hardly wait to enter there, my crown of life to win.Does anyone have the complete song?

I won't be satisfied until I walk those streets of gold,
I won't be satisfied until it's beauty I behold,
Those mansions fair, those pearly gates,
Will soon swing open wide,
But, until I clasp those nail-scarred hands,
I won't be satisfied.

I am lookin fir the words to an old song. I think the name of the song is I Won't Be Satisfied. The chorus goes, I won't be satisfied until His beauty I behold, I wont be satified until I walk that street of gold. Those mansions bright, those pearly gates, will soon swing open wide, but until I clasp those nail scarred hands I won't be satisified,

Does anyone know the words to the rest of this song?? Would be greatly appreciated! Ive searched and searched. Havent heard it since my childhood.

This hymns maybe referred as old but they never age.
I was blest to grow up in a family of singers who were not preformers for any audience but just folks you love to sing hymns. In Praise to our Lord let none of us ever forget to Thank God for the talents of the ones who wrote the music and the lyrics of these gifts to our life.

God Bless YOU!

Near the Cross by Fanny Crosby

Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain-
Free to all, a healing stream-
Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.

Refrain:
In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever;
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and Mercy found me;
There the bright and morning star
Sheds its beams around me.

Near the cross! O Lamb of God,
Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day,
With its shadows o'er me.

Near the cross I'll watch and wait
Hoping, trusting ever,
Till I reach the golden strand,
Just beyond the river.
