I remember a group called speers that sang a different version of the song, but I don't remember all the words. Maybe some one else can fill in the blanks to this song, I'm putting on here.

There is a significant difference between fearing not and fearing naught. The first says you are not afraid but God has an angry frown. The second is more hopeless: all you can look forward to is God's angry frown. Nothing (naught) else can engender fear because you are afraid of God's displeasure. That is what makes the rest of the song so joyful. Your name is written down and God's displeasure was taken by Jesus and you are free—saved by grace.

"Not" VS "naught" is a "distinction without a difference"!

Not meaning to be picky, but line 2 of verse 2 should read, “Fearing naught but God’s angry frown.” It does change the meaning a bit.
