Sang this a capella at a gospel sing in Turkey about 30 years ago (back in the 70s)

? John W Peterson but cannot find it on his website. Jesus is Coming cantata?

There words may not be remotely close, but this is what I recall. . .
(Can remember the music, not the lyrics)

Watchman, what of the night?
Are there signs of His return?
Tell me, when is He coming?
Will it be soon?
Will it be soon?

Will it be perhaps at dawning
When the world with beauty wakes
As we feel and breathe the sweetness
Of the morning as it breaks(?). . .

chorus

Will it be perhaps at noontime
As the tide of life runs high
...

chorus

Will it be perhaps at evening
With the setting of the sun
As we . . .
And the work of day is done. . .

Be it morning, noon, or evening
...
Will He find us watching, waiting,
Ready then with Him to go?

Watchman, what of the night?
Are there signs of His return?
Tell me, when is He coming?
Will it be soon?
Will it be soon?

Thanks for your help with this mystery. . . Ultra
