I think the chorus is
"Jesus' love can make the vilest sinner clean".

Dear Steve, For reasons I do not know, my Uncle Charlie believes fervently that I can locate a hymn for which he remembers only the chorus melody & some of it's lyrics. Steve, it would mean so much to me if you could find the name if it for us. Uncle Charlie is losing his battle with cancer, & even though I don't know why this request is so important to him, I just don't want to let him down. Here is all I know:
