So my grandma would always sing this to me before bed. I'm not sure if it's a mixture of two hymns, but I always loved it.

It goes:

The original artist/writer/composer of this song was Carmen. Janet Paschal did a cover, which is gorgeous, but Carmen's version is my favorite. The lyrics are as follows.

Are these the words you are looking for? It's a chorus we used to sing in church years ago. It is by Carman from the album Carman: The best years. from 1997. I checked online and they said the album is out of print. I have never heard any verses to this song.
