This was recorded by a group, Cedar Ridge, in 1989. Adina Benton Bowman, mother-in-law to Joseph Habedank of the Perrys, wrote this tune. This was the last single from Cedar Ridge's days with Sonlite Records. "I Want to Go There" was on Cedar Ridge's album, Heartfelt.

The bluegrass song is not the same one as the words msbubbrry typed. I'd like to find it too.

When you go to youtube, type in the name of the song like this" I want to go there, bluegrass gospel" and you'll find it easier. I meant to tell you that on the above post.

with the same lyrics that you had posted I searched through about 200 of the books that I have (old Songs) I found two songs with the exact same title, but not the same words.Hope this helps by going to youtube.com

I also am looking for information on this song. I want our youth group at church to sing this song, but I need to find the music first. Your post is the only place I can find anything about it on the internet. The name of the song is "I Want to Go There", but I can't remember who recorded it. The artist's name would make it much easier to find information about the song.
