The only one I am aware of that recorded "Its over now" is Jimmy Swaggart. It was on an album from the 1980s that i believe was called "Homeward Bound" which featured a lot of old gospel standards that groups like The Happy Goodmans recorded. you can also find videos on youtube of Jimmy singing this song.

When I look back to yesterday (G)
Rusty Goodman © 1980 Word Music Inc

When I look back to yesterday
And all the many years I have wasted
And I think about the many nights of
hunger I'd spent out in the cold
I remember warming by the fire
In my father's house, the food how it tasted
And knowing that the life I'm leading
is needing love
And love's back there at home.

CHORUS
It's over now, it's over I'm going home
It's over now, it won't be long
The prisons of the past couldn't hold me
I'm free at last
My father I see his arms reaching out for me
It's over now.

I can hear my father saying
Go kill the fatted calf, spread the table
Then go and tell the singers to prepare to
sing the welcome song
Bring the finest ring of gold and with it
bring the finest robe of sable
To place upon the tired and weary shoulders
of my son who's coming home
