Now, this is the words that I found:

The crown He wore was not of gold or silver
although He was proclaimed the King of the Jews
In it was no emerals or diamonds
for thorns was the only settings used
why a king arrayed in such a manner
and why a ruler wore such a crown
he wasn't forced by any man to wear it but willfully he laid his glory down.

chorus
Oh the crown of thorns was a crown of pain and death
that meant salvation for all men for he traded it for a crown of victory
and he'll never wear a crown of thorns again

now satan never was an easy loser
though he wants us all to wear that crown
but do't forget Jesus wore it for us and the power of sin has been forever bound

chorus

I hope this is the one you are looking for..God Bless

CROWN OF THORNS BY THE CHURCHMEN

Nailed to a cross suffered their scorn
His hands were pierced his back was torn
On his shoulder my sin he bore
He wore a crown, a crown of thorns

Chorus
Crown of thorns His diadem
My Savior, King hung condemned
His brow ran red, for me He bled
A crown of thorns was upon His head

Verse 2
They mocked His name, His royalty
He bore the shame that was meant for me
My cloak of sin His flesh adorned
He wore a crown, my crown of thorns (chorus)

Verse 3
I offer Him my everything
I crown Him now my Lord and King
In majesty one glorious morn
A crown He'll wear, that will have no thorns (chorus)

Could I get a copy of the sheet music of the 1952 song "Crown of Thorns". I have looked every where a can not find it. I use to have a old Hymnal that that had that song in it but I do not know what happened to it. My Pastor gave it to me many years ago. I can't find where I can even download the song to my Ipad. Anyway, my email address is as follows. [email protected]. Thanks so much.

The chords came out very slightly misaligned in there, but any musician should be able to figure out from there where they actually should be.

So, as I said, I'm a huge procrastinator, but here's the chords:

A Crown of Thorns
Ira Stanphill ©1952 New Spring

Verse 1:
G D
There was no crown for Him of silver or of gold
G C
There was no diadem for Him to hold.
G
But blood adorned His brow,
C
And proud its stains He bore,
Am D G
And sinners gave to Him the crown He wore.

Chorus:
C G
A rugged cross became His throne
Am D G
His kingdom was in hearts alone
C G
He wrote His love in crimson red
Am D G
And wore the thorns upon His head.

Verse 2:
He did not reign upon a throne of ivory
But died upon the cross of Calvary.
For sinners there He counted all He owned but loss
And He surveyed His kingdom from a cross.

Verse 3:
No purple robe He wore,
His bleeding wounds to hide
But stripes upon His back He wore with pride.
And from the wounds there flowed a crimson, cleansing stream
That was a cover for the soul unclean
