Thanks so much for these words. My husband had been wanting to sing this song for months and I couldn't find the words. Our pastor Rev. C. O. Morris, The Friendly St. John Baptist Church, Tulsa Oklahoma, use to sing this song before he preached. Thank again.

The version I am looking for was performed by the Stamps Quartet.

This song was originally written by Miss Lucie Campbell and sung at the National Baptist Convention many years ago. I believe it was in the 1930's.

Did you know that Steven Hill passed away on the past few months?
I think he was getting ready for Sunday services in North Carolina.
I loved to hear him sing.
