hymn from my childhood

by Rev Warren » Sat May 27, 2006 8:54 pm

Is this it?

This is the day; This is the day
that the Lord hath made; That the Lord hath made
I will rejoice, I will rejoice
and be glad in it; and be glad in it
Oh, This is the day,
that the Lord hath made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
this is the day, this is the day
That the Lord hath made.

hymn from my childhood

Hi Rebecca,

The line is from Psalm 118:24.

The praise song that comes to my head first is "This is the Day the Lord Has Made".

There's a hymn with the words "Rejoice and Be Glad"

Not sure if either of these are the one--if not, could you provide more clues?

Thanks :)
Steve

hymn from my childhood

Hi everyone... I hope someone can help me. When I was little, there was one hymn in particular that I hoped the pastor would pick to sing each week because I loved hearing my grandmother sing to it next to me. I cannot remember the title. I know part of the chorus was " and be glad in it" - I think it was "rejoice and be glad in it" but the hymn I find with that title is not the right one. It was more upbeat and happy. I would remember the words if I heard them, or even the music. I am getting married next February, and my grandmother passed last March. I would love to play that hymn at the ceremony to honor her memory. thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
