God is God and God is Love

I'm not sure of the author,but I know the song goes back to the late 40's-early 50's. My dad sang it often in church, on his daily radio program, and at various ministry events. As a child, we associated the song with him and other songs he wrote.

First heard in 1960's or early 70's at a church in Ga. an Pastor David Love from Tenn wrote it. He sold sheet music with his name listed as the author.

I believe it is one of Marijohn Wilkin's songs. Part of the lyrics were posted above but there was more to it. If it is the same. I just heard it last night for the first time and would like all the words myself as it has a good message.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I knew that song from my youth in Central Maine. I was looking for the lyrics today and came across your post. An elderly gentleman used to sing it. I always though he was the song writer but I may be mistaken.

That is what I'm trying to find out. My sister and I used to sing it in church, but she can't find it in her music books, she is pianist at her church. We sang it together about 18 years ago and just last year we tried to find it. If you can help find it, I would appreciate it.
Nobody at my current church remembers ever hearing it before.
