On wounded feet He walks here beside me
And gently urge me back into the fold
And so often he would gently guide me
For I was a precious wandering soul
On wounded feet He walked so close behind me
with bleeding hand
He bore me o'er the way
and kindly He so often would remind me
that I was a precious lamb astray

He walked until he found me
with nail-scarred hands
He knocked till I let him in
then he wrapped His loving arms around me
and with his blood He cleansed me from all sin
