Reposting to see if anyone knows where I can find this lovely hymn/song:
Looking for a hymn/song that I sang about a year ago and have been looking for since 
The title is 'the road is stained' and it's usually sung to the tune of 'when I survey' but I sang it to a different tune (possibly an old folk tune?)
These are the lyrics I can remember from it, just random fragments not a whole verse..

The road is stained with the blood of the lamb
With the sweat that fell from his thorn crowned brow
It was for us he suffered thus
He gave it all 
There on that cross
