I know this from an album of the "True Gospel Quartet", a little known group, now disbanded, that sang in western NC in and around the 1960s.
They sure did it well (with bass, tenor, a woman alto/pianist, and 1 other voice). Don't know if this is any use to you as you seem to know the lyrics. Let me know if you have need of a recording. The song is among my favorites too.

My father's favorite hymn was "Heaven's Window" and I thought it was in the Broadman Hymnal but cannot find it

I saw the angels in happy chorus as they sang praises for ever more
I stood and gazed at such wondrous beauty as God has waiting for us above.
