Okay, I've came into a little information that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be more useful than the vague clues I offered before.
I think the artists name might be Candy Green. Her and her husband sang together. Tom and Candy Green. But I cant seem to find many songs by them on google. lol

I know my clues are so vague, I can hear the tune clear as a bell in my head but not one single other lyric. I was probably about 10 when I recall the tape being played and I'm 35 now so around 1994. Other songs on the tape were "40 brave soldiers for Jesus" and then another song that said...
