broken pieces lyrics

For the other song, not "Broken Pieces", were you thinking of "The Touch of the Master's Hand"? It starts off with a violin being auctioned off for only three dollars, but the buyer tunes the violin, plays a "melody pure and sweet, sweet as the angels sing" and then, I ...

i will serve thee because i love thee

View it if you can get it.

Help - two old gospel songs - i wanna go there / the bride coming in

Here are the requested lyrics to Gentle Shepherd

I first heard this song back in the mid-70's, as sung by "Truth". It spoke to my soul then and seeing these lyrics again, they spoke to me now. Thank you for finding and posting these!

Swing Wide the Gates

This same, or a similar request was made a few years ago. If you're thinking of the song sung by The Inspirations (and they did a wonderful job!), here's a link to the previous request: http://www.namethathymn.com/hymn-lyrics-detective-forum/index.php?a=vtopic&t=8753 If that isn't it, don't forg...

Who wrote Amazing Love?

Ronda, Nancy, IINM is a shorthand for, as Nancy said, "If I'm not mistaken". Some other "shorthand" or netspeak as some call it would be LOL for laughing out loud, IIRC for If I remember correctly, AFAIK for as far as I know, and there are many others. It helps to have children w...

Who wrote Amazing Love?

Some of the Amazing Love lyrics are part of "And Can It Be That I Should Gain?", written by Charles Wesley nearly 300 years ago (around 1738, according to the Blue Letter Bible's website). Amazing Grace had John Newton for the author, and he wrote the lyrics around 1779 (again, IAW the Blu...
