Hallelujah I have found Him
whom my soul so long has craved

Hi Lina,

Here are the lyrics. Words by Clara T. Williams, Music by Ralph E. Hudson

1.
All my life I had a longing
For a drink from some clear spring,
That I hoped would quench the burning
Of the thirst I felt within.

Chorus
Hallelujah! I have found Him
Whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings,
Through His blood I now am saved.

2.
Feeding on the husks around me,
Till my strength was almost gone,
Longed my soul for something better,
Only still to hunger on.

3.
Poor I was, and sought for riches,
Something that would satisfy,
But the dust I gathered round me
Only mocked my soul's sad cry.

4.
Well of water, ever springing,
Bread of life so rich and free,
Untold wealth that never faileth,
My Redeemer is to me.

Hope it helps. God bless!
Steve

That's wonderful Lina! Congratulations :)

I've been a Christian 37 years, but this is the first time I've heard this great hymn...so thanks so much for sharing it. ;)

I must say that the words rings as true today as they did so many years ago--His living water, bread of life, and wealth have always been sufficient. I wish you all the best as you continue to grow in Him and His word. You are off to a great start!

If you're interested, there's a MIDI file and a printable score on the great site CyberHymnal.Org.

God bless!
Steve
