Christmas Song possibly by Gaithers

Post by MooseBreathMints » Thu Oct 23, 2014 12:19 am

"They say Christmas comes once a year, but I see it all year long. It's not in the words of a yule tide song or the gifts we hold so dear. But yes it is a reason to cheer! Emmanuel (gloria), ring those bells (gloria), keep them ringing on and on (sing along), Emmanuel (gloria), ring those bells (gloria), thy'er proclaiming all year long,....." I CANNOT FIND THIS SONG LISTED ANYWHERE. I have written to the Gaithers and others with no response. WHELP ME, SOMEONE! Does anyone know the song and who sang it? Thanks!!!!!!

Christmas Song possibly by Gaithers

Closest thing I could find was a hymn by Christine Wyrtzen on YouTube.

http://youtu.be/bjVoo-JFLHM

Here are the lyrics, courtesy of the poster on YouTube.

They say Christmas comes only once a year but I see it all year long
It's not in the words to a yuletide song or the gifts we hold so dear
But yes, it's a reason for cheer

Emmanuel, ring those bells, keep them ringing on and on
Emmanuel, hear those bells, they're proclaiming all year long
Glory to God in the highest, praise the Lord

The King wrapped in swaddling lives on today
He reigns in the hearts of men
The wonder of Christmas is born within
By receiving the present He gave
Let's celebrate Jesus each day

Emmanuel, ring those bells, keep them ringing on and on
Emmanuel, hear those bells, they're proclaiming all year long
Glory to God in the highest, praise the Lord

Hope this is it.

God bless!
