too many miles behind me
too many trials are thru
too many tears help me to remember
there's just too much to gain to lose

too many sunsets lie behind the mountains
too many rivers my feet have walked through
too many treasures are waiting over yonder
and there's too much to gain to lose

i've crossed a hot burning desert
struggling the right road to choose
but somewhere up ahead there's cool clear water
and there's too much to gain to lose

I Wanna Go

Its been years ago since I first heard it told
that he's coming back to take his children home
though the story's old, the half has not been told
I wanna go

They say there's mansions there far beyond compare
they talk of streets of gold, where we'll never grow old
there our loved ones wait just inside the gate
I wanna go

I wanna go where no storm clouds ever rise
I wanna go where the flowers never die
Dont you wanna go where we'll never say goodbye
There'll be no lonliness no more tears to dim the eye

The crystal river flows from the great white throne
children laugh and sing, joyful praises ring
oh it won't be long we'll all be going home
I wanna go

I wanna be there when that final roll is called
I wanna see the saints of old enjoy the ransomed throne
but most of all there's just one i long to see
his name is Jesus, and he gave his life for me

The sun wont need to shine, lamb of god will be the light
King of Kings will ring throughout eternity
we'll see him on his throne, hear his welcome home
i wanna go
i wanna go

hope that was the one you were looking for!

The guest who looked for Jesus and Me, I wonder if this old song could be what you are looking for:

Verse 1
I traveled alone along life's lonesome road
My burden was heavy and great was my load
I looked for a friend, not knowing that He
Had all of this time been looking for me.

Chorus:
And now it's Jesus and Me for each tomorrow
For every heartache, and every sorrow
I know that I can depend upon my new-found Friend
And so till the end, it's Jesus and me.

Verse 2:
The road may be long to heaven's pearly gate
I know that it's narrow, I know that it's straight.
But Jesus is there, through eternity,
We'll travel along just Jesus and me.
