My 85 yr old father would like the lyrics to the song "a million souls are dying". Thank you so much for your help on the last song i asked about.

Hi OLLADY,
I haven't been able to get a proper lead from searching this as a title.
I am guessing this is a phrase in a hymn that is in your father's heart & mind.
Does he have any other lyrics? What denomination would this be from?
Sometimes that helps finding a song in the old hymnbooks as I am assuming
this is a memory from years back.

Is it the song, "Along the way"? These are the words to that song...

V. 1 Hearts that never mend, tears that never end, words that go unspoken every day. Love we should have shown, Dreams they could have known; if only we would have told then along the way.

CH And who are we to say we really love them, when all we seem to do is throw His love away? Will we smile when we stand before Him and laugh all the hours away or cry for the souls (friends) we left behind us along the way?

V2 The race is never run, the battle's never won; and time just keeps on turning, burning away. Bless me Lord we pray, fill my cup we say, while A MILLION SOULS ARE DYING along the way.

Hope this is it. All the words may not be exactly right. I got this from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone and so on. but it's close enough ,if not exact.

I heard the song on a record called "Singing as we go" by The Stoltzfus Family back in 1962. But I did have the title wrong. It's called "The Sobbing of a Thousand Million". (Sorry about the mistake. I have trouble finding my own post once I put it up.) The chorus goes something like : A thousand million souls are dying, A thousand million souls are dying...

Sorry for all the trouble. I just found the Hymn in "The Christian Hymnary"!! page 532. It's the book we use at church, of all things!!
If you would like the words, here they are:

Thanks Nancy! I got it now. One other thing. When you make a mistake, and you want to edit a post that you already posted, is that possible? Like this one should be posted as the title "The Sobbing of a Thousand Million" instead of A million souls are dying. And I accidently posted one song twice and spelled the word rembrance instead of remembrance

I've been meaning to ask Steve if editing a post is possible.
As far as I know it's not. We'll see what this program will allow

Ollady - if it's on the net, I can't find it. I'm not sure of the exact title. I heard someone at church years ago sing it and I got the lyrics and chords from them, I've never actually heard the actual recording of it (I don't think). No idea who originally sang it and don't even remember where I got it from. Sorry.

Maybe someone else here knows?!
