There is a River

Post by bamaboy » Thu Jan 28, 2016 3:24 pm

Trying to find lyrics to two lines of this song. It's not the one that Jimmy Swaggert came out with. I sung this back in the 60's also.

Chorus: There is a river of everlasting life
There is a fountain that never shall run dry
I tasted of it's water and I know it satisfies
There is a river of everlasting life

Verse 2: There's a dying leper kneeling by the stream
He cries out in sorrow " I am unclean"
He stretched out his hand and everybody knows
That when he touched the water he was made completely whole

Verse 1: There are little children playing on the shore
Of this mighty river where troubles come no more

I can't remember the last two lines of verse 1 so I hope some can help.

Thanks !! Roger
