Hi can anyone help me?!? When I lived in Australia we often used to sing a beautiful hymn; the chorus of which went -

Do not be afraid, I am with you.
I have called you by your name, you are mine.
I have called you by your name, you are mine.

Can anyone help me track down the complete lyrics?

Thank you!!!

Hi Steve,

No I'm afraid that's not it. Since I posted my search, I've found out that the hymn was composed by an Australian, Christopher Willcock and usually named Psalm 27.

I've also tracked down a lovely choir master in Australia who will send me a hard copy of the hymn.

Since discovering it's an Australian hymn it's become even more important to me to have it as part of my wedding service - over here in Scotland.

Thank you for your help. It's a great website!!

It's called 'Water From the Well'
Lyrics:

Chorus:
Give me water from the well that never runs dry
Give me water from the well that gives me hope when I die.
Give me water from the well that never runs dry.
And I will thirst no more.

Living water flowing from above
Through the Spirit of never ending love.
And I'm the first to declare my longing thirst
For the water that comes from above.

Repeat Chorus

Living water leads me to my goal.
Now refreshing and cleansing to my soul.
Truly I'm alive, and I know I can't survive
Without it, the pure waters flow.

Repeat Chorus

And I will thirst no more
hope that's helpful

"Do not be afraind" written by Gerald Markland, based on Isaiah 43:1-4

Do not be afraid for I have redeemed you
I have called you by your name - you are mine

When you walk through the waters I'll be with you
You will never sink beneath the waves.

When the fire is burning all around you
You will never be consumed by the flames.

When the fear of loneliness is looming
then remember I am at your side.

When you dwell in the shelter of the stranger
remember you are precious sin my eyes

You are mine, O my child, I am you Father
and I love you with a perfect love.

I was taught at school by Mr Markland, and so heard this song first hand.
