Honey, you should have been around in the 70s when James Cleveland and the SoCalif Community Choir sang this thang!
Sr. Annette May sang the lead and boy did she do it. It was written by Margaret Pleasant Douroux.

I grew up singing this in New Jersey in the arly 70's and now still do. I am about to introduce it to my church here where I live now. I remember when it came out I was about 7. I am almost 50 now.lol... I sing it as a solo these days, still has the same effect. It is one of my favorite songs.

This is a song I grew up with singing in the youth choir in my home church in San Francisco. I never knew it had more than the first six lines. We sang this song as a young adult choir in four part harmony (about 50 to 70 of us) and it was beautiful. Thank you for posting this with all the words and may God continue to bless you.

Praising God this morning with this song! This song has been on my heart all week! I too grew up singing this song about 40 years ago and it has just as much power today becsuse I totally understand the lyrics more than ever! God bless everyone on this page!!
