PLEASE HELP PLEAZE!!! A FUGITIVE FROM GOD

Post by RReshew » Tue Nov 19, 2013 8:38 am

The song, "A Fugitive from God", was written and sung by Evangelist Lowell Lundstrom in 1969 and was the theme song in a Christian movie titled, "Blood on the Mountain", about 2 escaped prison convicts who were running from the law. While the prisoners were escaping, the song was being sung in the background.

Lowell Lundstrom was an ex-1950's rock-n-roller (much like Elvis Presley) who had a dramatic Apostle Paul-like encounter with God and became a Christian in 1957 after a couple of near-death car crashes. He and his family (The Lundstrom Team) traveled by bus over 300 nights a year for several decades holding area-wide crusades to help people accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. God used Lowell and his family to lead over a million people to the Lord.

Here are a couple of websites where you can click a video of the scene of the prisoners escaping in "Blood on the Mountain" and hear "A Fugitive from God" being sung in the background by Lowell Lundstrom:

Here are the lyrics as sung by Lester Roloff & Rebekeh Home group:

Title: A Fugitive From God

You've been running, running,
For a long, long time
You've been running, running
With no peace of mind.
You regret the day
You turned away
And became a fugitive from God!

Why don't you turn, turn, turn around
Why do you roam?
Can't you see God the Father
Waits to welcome you home?
You were never meant
To walk the path you trod
How long will you run away,
A fugitive from God?

You've been seeking, seeking
Everything but Him
You've been living, living
All your life in sin
You can see the light
But you chose the night
You've become a fugitive from God

God's been calling, calling
For His long lost child
He's been calling, calling
For a long, long while
If you hear his voice
Make Him your choice
Don't become a fugitve from God

Why don't you turn, turn, turn around
Why do you roam?
Can't you see God the Father
Waits to welcome you home?
You were never meant
To walk the path you trod
How long will you run away,
A fugitive from God?

How long will you run away,
A fugitive from God?
