IN HIS ARMS I'M NOT AFRAID

G C G
When my eyes, shall close in death,
A D
Fold my hands, upon my chest.
G C G
Sing for me, a pretty song
D G
While I take, my journey home.

CHORUS:
C G
Not afraid to bid this world good-bye.
A D
Not afraid, to close my eyes and die.
G C G
For His cour-age I have prayed.
D G
In His arms, I'm not afraid.

C G
2. When I cross, that silent sea
A D
where the home, lights beckon me.
G C G
I'll feel no pain, I'll fear no harm.
D G
Safe secure, in Jesus' arms.

CHORUS:
G C G
For His courage I have prayed.
D G
In His arms I'm not afraid.

I love that song, too! There was a group in the Huntington, WV area who sang that one, back in the early 90's (someone sent me a tape with that one and other GREAT songs on it). Years later, the Cumberland Highlanders (Campbell Mercer, Wayne Lewis, and others) sang it on one of the "Cumberland Highlanders" TV shows on RFD-TV (the show may be called "Crossing the Cumberlands" now). Anyway, it's a great song and like the author, I don't want to die right now but when the time comes, I won't be afraid. My Lord Jesus will be waiting for me when this life ends. "Even so, come Lord Jesus!"

I heard a young lady sing In His Arm and she sang a third verse. Anybody know the words to that verse?
