there was a vessel that was made of clay it was broken to pieces by the wind and rain. And made with no beauty on the dessert plain. then one day about evening time an old potter was was walking on the sands of time pick up the broken pieces with tears in his eyes

chorus:
And he cried in his heart I will restore these broken pieces to beauty once more and made a brand new vessel just like before masterpiece go through out this land made of pieces from the dessert sand and restore the touch from the masters hands

I was that vessel that was made of clay my life was broken to pieces from the rain and wind and made with no beauty of the dessert plain then one day around evening time a mighty angel was walking through the sands of time picked up my broken pieces with tears in his eyes

and he cried in heart i will restore these broken pieces to beauty once more and make a brand new vessel just like before masterpiece go through out his land made from broken pieces of the dessert sand restore from the touch of the masters hand..... :)

The Potter
(written by Andrae Crouch)
(recorded by Dave Hollister)

Verse:
The Potter, He saw a vessel
that had been broken by the wind and the rain.
He sought it with so much compassion
to put it back together again.

Oh, I was that broken vessel
that no one thought was any good,
I cried, "Lord, You are the Potter,"
"and I am the clay,"
"make me over again today".

Chorus:
Jesus picked up the pieces
of my broken heart,
my broken heart that day.
And He made me a new vessel,
He revived my soul again

I went to a concert in Gatlinburg Tenn last fall and heard Margaret Ann Smith sing Broken Vessels along with other beautiful songs she sang --I bought a cd but being deaf and having a cochlear implant on one side I couldnt seem to pick up the words --so I have been searching and today I found the version that she sang thanks to this site --she sings it amazingly --I love her singing -it is the version which starts as "one day throughout the market place,a potter searched and roamed " and ends with "and now I'm bound for Heaven And my vessel overflows " how blessed I am ty -Helene
