I have With the Wind in the Willows. It's on a CD called Sunday Gospel Hear's a link:- http://www.sendit.com/cd/various-artist ... 28243.html
It's sung by Susan McCann & Brendan Quinn and it's absolutely beautiful

I've just checked that link again - and I see that The Sunday Gospel link is sold out. If you search iTunes for "Bread and Fishes" you get a selection of artists singing the same hymn - eg the Houghton Weavers.

I don't like any of these versions as much as the one by Susan McCann & Brendan Quinn. A bit more searching and I found With the Wind in The Willows on a different CD by Susan McCann & Brendan Quinn:-

My name is joseph, this is mary my wife, and this is our young son who brightens our life.

I used to sing this song in the car on long journeys as a child, my dad loved it and always asked me to sing it, so I'll be singing it at his funeral. Happy memories.

Is there a version that anyone knows of
"Wind in the willows and (stars / smiles) through the trees. Will carry home to the place I belong"

I may just have a hymn and a song mixed together

The song is actually called Bread And Fishes. Written by Alan Bell in the early seventies or possibly late 60s.

This recording of Wind in the Willows is from a band called Spud on the 1977 album A Feast of Irish Folk:
