"I'm gonna put on my golden shoes, gonna walk around...I'm so glad I could enter in" An old upbeat song from 1960s...sound familiar to any one? Have a title or lyrics?

My great aunt Gayle Summey wrote a song called "Golden Shoes" for her daddy years ago. She's from a little town called Greenback, TN and has played the piano and sang that all over this area. That may be the song you are thinking of. I'm the same age as her youngest and I've heard her sing it many a times. Would love to have a recording of it myself.

My Golden Shoes, sang by the Principles. I always remembered when the singer got to Hello Sweet Jesus, that she did sit down instead of just repeating that she wanted to walk around.

I wish that I had the lyrics to the last verse where they met up with Jesus and decided to sit down with Jesus and try on those golden shoes
