SIN DIED HERE
New Hinsons

That old altar could really talk oh, but it won't reveal

What heaven forgot and what hell never will

It just sits there in the silence and speaks loud thru their tears

It says their new life began when sin died here

(chorus)

Somewhere between that old pulpit and the pew

A heart so unclean was made spotless brand new

That old altar is a tombstone and the epitaph's clear

It says grace fought this battle and sin died here.

It is listening as the drunkard staggered in and fell down

Heard the harlot that come from the dark side of town

Oh the sound that's most familiar is when the angels all cheered

The cross won again when sin died here!

(Repeat Chorus)

Tag: That old altar is a tombstone and the epitaph's clear

It says grace fought this battle and sin died here
