It's No Wonder

Post by Guest » Sun May 03, 2009 5:03 am

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the lyrics to the old hymn "It's No Wonder" I know the Gaither Trio sang it, and part of it goes like this "It's no wonder that He stumbled as he walked up Calvary's road; "It's no wonder that he cried out as the blood from his side flowed" And I really am unsure of the rest. Thanks so much!

It's no wonder that He stumbled as He walked up Calvarys road
It's no wonder that He cried out as the Blood from His side flowed
It's no wonder the sun was blackened as all sin crushed the Divine
It's no wonder my life was transformed when I saw those sins were mine

When you take the sin of Adam and the guilt of Eve, his wife
And to this you add the factor that their sin spoiled all of life
After this came war and bloodshed, sins of hatred greed and pride
They were wrapped in one big bundle and to my Jesus they were tied

Should you find the best designer have him draw the greatest plan
Should you find purest marble the strongest metal known to man
Then hire the finest builders let the structures strength abound
If all earths sins were placed upon it it would crumble to the ground

The song "It's No Wonder" was written in 1969, words by Charles Millhuff and music by Bill Gaither.

I would dearly love to find a copy of the SHEET MUSIC for this song, or even a full recording that could be transcribed.

Please email me if you can help: G-u.r.u.4_2_K--a-T-Yah-oo-D.O.T.com

Of course remove the dashes, periods and substitute the @.

Roger McDuff sang this song on a solo album in the 70s, I believe. I did have a copy of the LP at one time, but not sure where it got to, I am sure that youi would be able to find one on ebay.

Trust that you are able to find a copy.

I'm not help, but I too, love the song. We had a LP record by The Ward Family in the 60's or 70's but it is long gone. However, I wrote the words down and now sing the song frequently when I am alone. I would love to get a good rendition of it now.

Here Is The rendition I was looking for if anyone can finish it up for me TIA

God is creator of all things that you see. He formed the mountains; with his hands he made the valleys and the trees. Just one word from him and darkness turns to day....
Chorus
It's no wonder that I love him so. Why he loved me I guess I'll never know..
