This is our favourite Christmas carol in Burma - it's called "O NIGHT OF HOLY MEMORY". The ladies will lead first and the gents will compliment with the words in brackets.
'Neath the silent stars a town is sleeping
(Silent Night)
Shepherds on the hills their watch a-keeping
(Holy Night)
Their flocks are safe within the fold
(All is calm)
Secure from danger want or cold
(All is bright)
Silent Silent Night
(Round yon virgin, mother and child)
Holy Holy Night
(Holy infant so tender and mild)
Sleep in peace
(Sleep in heavenly peace)
Sleep in heavenly peace, in peace
(Sleep in heavenly peace).
O'er the moonlit plains angels are singing
(Silent Night)
From the realm afar glad tidings bringing
(Holy Night)
We see their robes of glistening white
(Son of God)
Reflecting a celestial light
(Love's pure light)
Silent Silent Night
(Radiant beams from thy holy face)
Holy Holy Night
(With the dawn of redeeming grace)
Sleep in peace
(Jesus Lord at thy birth)
Sleep in heavenly peace, in peace
(Jesus Lord at thy birth).
Try it out and let me know how you go.
Please pray for Burma and her citizens. Love, peace, stay safe and God bless
