It Was His Blood lyrics

Post by goose » Thu Jun 03, 2010 7:54 am

I've been looking for lyrics to a lot of different songs. One of them goes, it was His love that paid the sin price it was His love that set us free. I think the name of another is I'll Lay Hold On It All (someday). It starts with, my Father is rich in treasures untold walls of solid jasper and streets of purest gold. I'm also looking for Now I've Got Something To Shout About by the Primitive Quartet. Oh I Can Almost See The Lights Of That City and When I Cross That River (it was worth it all to me). Are some that I've been looking for. I would be very greatful if someone could help me find the lyrics to these songs.

Here are the lyrics:

When I Cross That River

1.
Many hills and many valleys, these old tired feet have trod,
And so often I have wondered, would they reach heaven's sod?
Oh, but I know the answer when I stepped in Jordan's stream,
And when I crossed that River, it was worth it all to me.

Chorus
And when I crossed that River, it was worth it all to me
All the beauties of heaven before my eyes I could see;
There stands Jesus and there's Mom and Dad
They've been waiting for me
When I crossed that River, it was worth it all to me.

2.
Now I've changed from rags to a robe of white
And my shoes, they're made of gold;
A glorious street the Lord is leading me
All is new; there's nothing old.

3.
We've just stopped before my mansion,
My name's inscribed above the door;
Just today it was completed,
And now I'll live here forever more.

The Lights of Home
by Ray Wafford

John tells of a city that He saw coming down
Where no sorrow or death will be known
That some wonderful day we could go there
through God's marvelous grace,
forever live in that Heavenly home.

Oh, I can almost see the lights of that city,
I see them gathered all around the great white throne
Through faith in my Savior and His wonderful love,
Oh, I can almost see the lights of home.

Well, sometimes when I'm burdened, and my cross gets hard to bear,
and old Satan, he tries to dim my view.
Then I look up to Jesus, He is standing close by
And once again His great light shines through.

I know this post is dated, but I'll post this anyway. I had this song on a Primitive Quartet tape.

I'll Lay Hold On It All Someday
By The Primitive Quartet

My Father is rich in treasures untold
Walls of solid jasper and streets of purest gold
Mansions by the millions, with pearly white gates
And I know I'll lay hold on it all someday

Chorus:
Treasures by the millions, He has promised me
But the face of Jesus is what I long to see
"Come on in. Welcome home, child" I know my Lord will say
And I know I'll lay hold on it all someday

We'll go down by the river contented and free
Then I'll say, "Thank you Jesus, for saving a wretch like me"
Mom and Dad will come to see me up there in my new home
On the hill sides of glory, living near my Father's throne
