My Hope Is In The Blood

Post by goose » Fri Jun 04, 2010 8:46 am

I believe the chorus says my hope is in the blood of the precious Lamb of God there is no other fountain so sweet. But I can't remember anymore. Does anyone have the lyrics to this song.

My Hope Is In The Blood

I listened to this being sung by The Inspirations on You Tube. I had never heard the song before, but it's a good one. However I found the lyrics elsewhere on the computer. Enjoy and God Bless.

MY HOPE IS IN THE BLOOD

1)
EVERY HOPE THAT I HAVE HERE IN THIS OLD SINFUL WORLD,
IS ANCHORED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.
THO THE BILLOWS ARE RAGING AND WE'RE TOSSED TO AND FRO,
THERE IS PEACE BENEATH THAT FLOW.

CHORUS
MY HOPE OF THE PRECIOUS LAMB OF GOD,
IS IN THE BLOOD

THERE IS NO OTHER FOUNTAIN SO SWEET.
NO FOUNT SO SWEET.

IT HAS WASHED AWAY MY SIN GAVE ME PEACE AND JOY WITHIN,

MY HOPE IS ANCHORED IN HIS BLOOD.
HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD.
2)
ONLY ONE THING WILL MATTER WHEN THE TIME SHALL COME TO DIE,
THE TREASURES OF THIS WORLD WON'T MEAN A THING.
BUT THE JOY OF KNOWING JESUS WILL VANISH ALL MY FEAR,
FOR HE TOOK AWAY DEATH'S STING.

Chorus

Thanks for the lyrics and the info about You Tube. But the name of the group that sings the song was The Primitive Quartet.

Yes.....The Primitive Quartet sings this song and Reagan Riddle of the group, wrote this song and MANY more of their God spirit lifting songs. Beautiful lyrics and beautiful music. We all miss Norman Wilson of the group, but they carry on VERY WELL and Jeff Tolbert does a wonderful job singing Normans parts that he used to sing! God Bless them ALL!!!
