I remember singing this song from the Baptist hymnal about 25 years ago but I have been unable to locate the title or lyrics...I call it the other One Day at a Time song...It goes something like what I have indicated below...

Only to live one day at a time
asking the Lord to guide me
I have no fears, no sorrows or cares
since Jesus walks close beside me

...
Thy will and thy way
for just this one day
then life will be sweeter for me
