can you find the old hymn with "I'll See you in the morning?" Need it for a sweet 88 year old friend whose son passed away last week. Those were his last words to her after eating dinner with her. He went out the door, went home and had a heart attack and went to Jesus. These words will be a blessing. I'm sure we used to sing it when I was a young girl.
Thanks.

I think the hymn you are looking for is "I'll Meet You in the Morning".

I will meet you in the morning on the bright riverside,
When all sorrows have drifted away.
I'll be standing at the portal with the gates open wide
At the close of life's long, dreary day.

Cho: I'll meet you in the morning with a "How do you do?"
And we'll sit down by the river, and with rapture, old acquaintance renew.
You'll know me in the morning by the smile that I wear.
When I meet you in the morning in that city that is built foursquare.

I will meet you in the morning in the sweet by and by,
And exchange the old cross for a crown.
There will be no disappointments and no body shall die
In that land where life's sun goeth down.

I will meet you in the morning at the end of the way
On the streets of that city of gold,
Where we all can be together and be happy for aye
As the years of eternity roll.

Hi Winkydink77,

The one that Guest posted was one that I'm familiar with. Here's the other:

I will meet you in the morning,
Just inside the Eastern Gate.
Then be ready, faithful pilgrim,
Lest with you it be too late.

Refrain

I will meet you, I will meet you
Just inside the Eastern Gate over there.
I will meet you, I will meet you,
I will meet you in the morning over there.

If you hasten off to glory,
Linger near the Eastern Gate,
For I'm coming in the morning;
So you'll not have long to wait.

Refrain

Keep your lamps all trimmed and burning;
For the Bridegroom watch and wait.
He'll be with us at the meeting
Just inside the Eastern Gate.

Refrain

O the joys of that glad meeting
With the saints who for us wait!
What a blessèd, happy meeting
Just inside the Eastern Gate!

Refrain

Hope one of these is it--if not, please let me know, and I can try to dig further :)

God bless!
Steve

Hi. & This gospel song actually dates back to 1905, words and lyrics by Isaiah G. Martin. I personally got to know the song by listening to those great Gaither anthologies. Here's one of them, available on Amazon.Com: Ryman Gospel Reunion Hope it helps. Thanks :) Steve

Please help me find the lyrics to an old hymn titled "Precious Memories". It was my grandfather's and my great-grandmother's favorite, and I would like to sing it at our Family Reunion.
