consider the lillies

Post by Guest » Thu Sep 23, 2010 7:13 pm

Chorus:

We have a heavenly father above
With eyes full of mercy and a heart full of love
He really cares when your head is bowed low
Consider the lilies and then you will know
verse 1
Consider the lilies they dont ----- or spin
But theres not a flower with more splendor than them
Consider the sparrow, he doesn't toil or sow
But he's fed by the master who watches him grow

verse 2
May I introduce you to this friend of mine
Who hung out the stars, and tells the sun when to shine
-------------------------------------------------------
But he's not too busy to care about you

That is all I can remember. I hope this helps you.

Consider The Lilies

Consider the lilies, they don't toil nor spin,
But there's not a king with more splendor than them.
Consider the sparrow, he doesn't plant nor sow.
But he's fed by the Master who watches him grow.

We have a heavenly Father above
With eyes full of mercy and a heart full of love
He really cares when your head is bowed low
Consider the lilies and then you will know.

May I introduce you to this Friend of mine?
Who hangs out the stars and tells the sun when to shine.
And kisses the flowers each morning with dew.
But He's not too busy to care about you!

This is the version I know from the 70s. Consider the Lillies they toil not nor spin.
They bask in God's sunshine and drink in God's rain.
If God cares for them in such marvelous ways,
how much more, how much more, how much more will He care for me
and supply every need every day.
For He loves me, yes He loves me.
For I am His child and no good thing will He withhold. And then back to consider the lillies and ending with supply every need every day. It's fun to sing with the Sunday school kids. Well adults also. We all need a reminder.
