Down On my knees

Down on my knees, I can get a prayer answered.
Down on my Knees, I talk to the Master
He comforts me, through troubles and trials
down on my knees,
That's where I go
To comfort my soul

sometimes i get, so blinded by fear
if Jesus is near me, and if He hears
I feel myself falling, down as i plead
Cause I'm going down, i fall on my knees

Down on my knees, I can get a prayer answered.
Down on my Knees, I talk to the Master
He comforts me, through troubles and trials
down on my knees,
That's where I go
To comfort my soul

So many times, in life that i fail Him
and yet He is there, in all of my needs
i reach up to Jesus, i know that He hears me
as I'm reaching up, I fall on my knees

Down on my knees, I can get a prayer answered.
Down on my Knees, I talk to the Master
He comforts me, through troubles and trials
down on my knees,
That's where I go
To comfort my soul

Down on my knees, that's where i go
to comfort my soul

hope this helps and may God bless you

Those are not the correct words in a few places. The song was written by Debbie Jarrel I believe. My brothers and I got it from her a long time back and we were friends with the Cooke Brothers and they used the song. If you would like to know which words were a little different let me know.

Here's another song by the same title:

DOWN ON MY KNEES (Eb) 4/4
By: Mosie Lister (1947)

1. Once I wandered alone in darkness of night,
Once I struggled along far from God and right;
Then I knew I was lost, and in my despair,
I fell upon my knees in prayer.

Chorus:
I was down on my knees, down on my knees,
Praying to my Lord every day;
I was praying to Jesus to hear me, please,
And take my heavy burdens away.

2. Old Satan tried to tell me the Bible was a lie,
That Jesus did not love me and I was doomed to die;
But I stayed on my knees, stayed on my knees,
( Till ) Jesus took my burdens away.

3. I had fallen so low in sin and in shame,
That it seemed almost hopeless to trust His name;
But I lifted my voice and cried in despair,
And Jesus heard my humble prayer.
