By the witness of the spirit

Post by HathaYodel » Fri Apr 15, 2011 12:02 am

Here's the parts I remember: "There was something in your faces/as we bowed our heads in prayer"..."And we shared that deep contentment that comes only when you know/that the old account's been settled long ago//By the witness of the spirit/I could tell you loved the Lord/By the witness of the spirit/I knew you cared/Even far from home and lonely/ There's a closeness ...." Grateful for help finding a recording of this, or at least the actual title. Thank you.

hi, I saw this post and had to respond. as far as I know that is the name of the song. a group of youth I went to high school with recorded and sang it at church and other meetings. they were called the Choraleers from Lancaster, Pa. it is on those of their many albums called Lord Take This Hand. I have the recording and would love to be able to share it with you somehow. it is a beautiful song, I will never forget. it was recorded in 1977. Joe
