Hello my name is Jennifer. I had a cassette tape at one time that had a beautiful song called The Blame. I can only remember bits and peices of the words and It was sung by two women and a man. My father and I believe it may be by Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters. The beginning goes like this:

Let me take you on a journey
Let me warn you before we start
This wonn't be no picnic,
We're not strolling through the park.
??????????????????????????
Deep inside a sinner's soul.

Part of second verse:

Here the feilds are cold and barren

Some of last verse:
See these taers that form the rivers
that go rushing through his eyes
through the valleys of heartaches
see mountains of lies
????????????????

Ending line:

when we leave there'll be no souveniers
for any one to claim thing we're taking
Is The Blame.

Please if you know how I can find the singers and the lyrics of this song
Contact me via email with this same subject at [email protected].
Thank you and God Bless you all.

The Journey

Let me take you on a Journey
Let me warn you before we start
This want be no picnic
Were not strolling the park
In your own imagination
See the awful sights unfold
When we reach our destination
Deep inside the sinners soul

See these tears that formed these rivers
That go rushing through his eyes
In this valley of heartache
Neath the mountain of lies
Hear the fields are cold and barren
Only yielding endless shame
And on the walls of life steep canyon
Sin has carved its name.

Now let us press a little deeper
Where a million dreams have died
And did ya hear that ole grim reaper
Suggesting suicide
Smell the smoke, feel the flames
Lord hell's volcanoes bound to blow
And ain't it a crying shame
You never let him know

And when we meet their be no souvenirs or anyone to claim
For the only thing were taking is the blame...
