The first line you give sounds like lyrics from "I won't have to cross Jordan alone." You can hear this one on some of the Gaither Homecoming recordings. Cynthia Clawson sings it.

The second line sounds like another old hymn. I don't know the name of it.

I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone

D
When I come to the River at ending of day
A7 D
When the last winds of sorrow have blown

There'll be somebody waiting to show me the way
A7 D
I won't have to cross Jordan alone.

Chorus:
G D
I won't have to cross Jordan alone
A7 D
Jesus died for my sins to atone;
G
When the darkness I see He'll be waiting for me;
A7 D
I won't have to cross Jordan alone.

D
Often times I'm forsaken, and weary and sad.
A7 D
When it seems that my friends have all gone;

There is one tho't that cheers me, and makes my heart glad.
A7 D
I won't have to cross Jordan alone.

Chorus

D
Tho' the billows of sorrow and trouble may sweep,
A7 D
Christ the Saviour will care for His own.

'Till the end of the journey, my Soul He will keep,
A7 D
I won't have to cross Jordan alone.

The first line reminded me of 'If we never meet again." it begins, 'soon we'll come to the end of life's journey and perhaps we'll never meet anymore...." are you looking for two different songs with the two seperate lyrics mentioned, or just one song with both those words/lyrics? i'd be glad to post the words if that sounds like it might be it.. debbie
