Beside the Still Waters

Is this the one you are looking for?

This is the words as I remember them:

Beside the still waters in pastures of green
The shepherd is leading where all is serene
By day and by night he will always be seen
Beside the still waters of peace

The sheep know his voice and they go not astray
For Jesus will guide all the way
The flock by his presence he leads day by day
Beside the still waters of peace.

God bless

Hey Caleb,

I know this is an old post...but would you by any chance have the music for this song?

Or anyone else...?

Thanks in advance!

Beside the still waters in pastures of green,
The Shepherd is leading where all is serene;
By day and by night He will always be seen
Beside the still waters of peace.
For He's the Good Shepherd who died for the sheep;
His own He has promised to keep.
He lovingly watches and guards while they sleep
Beside the still waters of peace.

Beside the still waters the sheep find their rest;
The Shepherd stands by so that none can molest;
The flock, by His presence, is happy and blest
Beside the still waters of peace
The sheep know His voice and they go not astray,
For Jesus will guide all the way.
In paths that are righteous He leads day by day
Beside the still waters of peace.

First heard this at Bethel Assembly of God in the fifties. A pastor and his wife, who wrote it together, sang it and it became a church favorite. Perhaps someone at Central Assembly in Boise remembers the authors' names.

I love this song and am glad to see the second verse listed. I remember it well, but I think the writer of this song was the Christian orchestra writer and producer whose name escapes me at present. It I can bring it to mind, will send this on.
Beautiful song and often I repeat it to myself along with the tune when I'm trying to fall asleep. Lois [email protected]

Ted Silva, my great grandfather is the author of the song....he sang it with my great grandma Hazel who I remember well. I think they went by The Megatones or something like that.

Ted Junior and I were in Bethany Bible College together. I'm doing a concert in September and October and plan on using "Beside the Still Waters." Is Ted alive, and is there any way of contacting him?

I'm his great grandson Hayden Fisher, Ted Silva wrote it with his wife Hazel. Ted Jr passed away I do believe 5 + years ago.
