1. After man’s first fall, why the Lord of all In his majesty supreme,
Fell upon a plan to redeem the man to his former high esteem,
But a sacrifice was required to splice, every flaw we make today,
So the Lamb who died all our sins to hide, volunteered to softly say.

Chorus:
Send me, send me, to set them free;
I’ll gladly go and let them know thy plan of liberty,
‘Twill not be hard, a rich reward, of ecstacy will waiting be, send me, send me.

2. Israel failed to heed and the Lord decreed, that the gentile world should know,
Of salvation free, but someone must be, duly qualified to go;
In a blinding light with a message bright, brother Paul was made a new,
And the Pharisee in humility said:
“What wilt thou have me do?” [Chorus]

3. There’s the beaten one, with his hopes undone, groping in a world of sin,
How he longed to hear with attentive ear, of the Christ who died for men.
Should we not consent, and as he who went, first to heed their plaintive cry,
Take the message old with a spirit bold, Father, help us to reply. [Chorus]
