sweeter to me

Just trying to find the rest of the hymn we sang at school which contained:

"The grass is softer to my tread because it rests unumbered feet, sweeter to me the wild rose red because she make sthe whole world sweet."

Strangely enough, I was hunting for that verse last week ... my wife and I had a trip on the Wensleydale Railway, and noticed wild roses almost all the way along the line. I thought it was from "For all the changing scenes of life" looked it up in an old hymnbook, and no, that wasn't it. BUT on the facing page, there it was!!
The first line is "I said it in the meadow path" and the author is Lucy Larcom. It's not packed with a great deal of theology, and is probably "of its day", but there ... I found it!
