Thanks for sharing your grandfather's story, the.redeemed.1! The song is beautiful to begin with, and hearing the circumstances in which it was written make the words all the more poignant and meaningful.
I'm amazed that it's so long after the first post on this thread and your grandfather's words are still touching so many. Please pass along to him that thousands of people have sought them out over the last 16 years.
