Post by bssmith » Wed Jul 31, 2013 11:23 am

Cho goes something like this

It's harvest time, harvest time
The grain is falling, The Saviour's calling
Oh do not wait it's growing late
Behold the fields are white, it's harvest time.

Can't remember the verses

I look and see...earth's gold and riches...
The hording mob...for selfish gain....
The toil of hands...for ease and comfort..
I look again and see the falling golden grain....

Chorus:
HARVEST TIME...HARVEST TIME...
THE SAVIOR'S CALLING...THE GRAIN IS FALLING....
OH DO NOT WAIT....IT'S GROWING LATE....
BEHOLD THE FIELD IS WHITE...IT'S HARVEST TIME

Say not four months...then comes the harvest...
For ripe the grain...ready to yield....
Work while it's day...the night is coming...
Lift up thine eyes and see God's needy harvest field....

Chorus:

And when I stand...before my Maker...
And give account...for what I've done....
May I then hear...Him saying to me...
Well done, my servant, you the crown have won..

Chorus:

Oh, do not sleep...while souls are dying....
Awake arise...there's much to do....
At any price...seek hard to win them....
And then, I'm sure there'll be a crown for you.....

Chorus:

Herewith I request how I may obtain respective copyrite information as pertains to the specific song I copy the Lyrics of for my own community performance instances because in many cases, althoh I do NOT "SELL" copies of what I sing with my own orchestra and/or band accompaniment, audience members can easily record any performance without my permission and pass-on whatever results thus accordingly AND, , with to-day'z electronics, even an IN THE AUDIENCE recording, can be well worth taking home where computer software can be used to embellish and render a nearly NEW sound to a NON-professional recording. Thus, I request of you and most seriously, =ALL= relative COPYRITE info' for your Harvest-Time song, ", , oh do not wait; it's growing late; behold, the fields are ripe; it's haaaa-rrrrrrvest time." Need Lyrics To "It's Harvest Time

The words I have were written by Wanda Smith. I think I might have copied them from "Heavenly Highway Hymns". (cannot find my copy right now!) Hymnary.org has only the cover of the 1956 edition compiled by Luther Presley. They do not yet have the songs indexed for this hymnal. I checked CCLI.org but did not find a listing for a song with this name listing her as the author. I hope this helps. I attempted to send an e-mail to Archie Terrace of 07 Mar 2016, but must have mis-spelled his name in e-mail.

HARVEST TIME Eb 4/4
W & M By Wanda Smith (1949)

1. I look and see earth's gold and riches,
The hoarding mob for selfish gain;
The toil of hands for ease and comfort,
I look again and see the falling golden grain, (golden grain.)

Chorus:
Harvest time, Harvest time,
The Grain is falling, The Savior's calling;
Oh, do not wait! It's growing late,
Behold, the fields are white, it's Harvest Time.

2. Say not four months then comes the harvest,
For ripe the grain is ready to yield;
Work while it's day for night is coming,
Lift up thine eyes and see God's needy harvest field, (harvest field).

3. And when I stand before the Maker,
And give account for what I've done;
May I then hear Him saying to me,
Well done, my servant, you the crown have won, (have won).
