Hymn Lyrics Search - Name That Hymn

Looking for lyrics to Gone by Teddy Huffamn

That song was recorded quite a few years ago. I think it was on the album, "Souled Out!"

Here are the lyrics I remember:

Mary came unto the tomb of Jesus,
(something about) the stone was rolled away,
The angel said, "Fear not, I know Whom seek ye,
"For He is risen" This I heard him say.

GONE (the stone is rolled back)
GONE (the tomb is empty)
GONE to sit at the Father's side
GONE (over death triumphant)
GONE (sin is defeated)
GONE (He lives forever more!)

There is another verse but I don't remember one single word of it.

I hope this helps, even a little!

"Gone" by Eldridge Fox

1st verse:
Mary came unto the tomb of Jesus,
The stone was moved and He had gone away,
The angel said "Fear not, I know whom seek ye,
But He is risen," This she heard him say.

Chorus:
Gone, the stone is rolled back,
Gone, the tomb is empty,
Gone, to sit at the Father's side,
Gone, over death triumphant,
Gone, sin is defeated,
Gone, He lives forever more.

2nd verse:
My friend if you don't know my risen Savior,
I beg of you, don't wait too late to pray,
Don't wait until His bride has been completed,
Don't wait until you hear Him say, "It's too late".

Chorus:

3rd verse:
Oh come with me and see the risen Savior
Who still can turn the dark of death to day,
He can calm the storms of life and part the ocean,
And still can roll your heavy stone away.

Chorus:

THANK YOU for finding these words for the original asker. I was winging it from memory and you went beyond to get the lyrics. God bless.
