Hymn in the ‘The Dragon’ episode of Ivor the Engine

This programme was a big part of my childhood and I’ve been trying, to no avail, to find out what hymn this is- any help would be greatly appreciated! ^_^
It sounds like something about ‘a maiden so fair’ but that’s about all I can get. I can suss out the roman numeral chord harmonies if absolutely necessary.

Thanks

Hi elliotwarburton

This is all I have gleaned so far

On a bright summer evening in ? In town
I passed a young maid ? beautiful gown,
with ? in her hand and with flowers in her hair,
I swear that I've never seen a maiden so fair.
But when I looked back she was gone from my sight,
and I was alone on that bright summer night.

Still searching for the hymn title

On a bright summer evening in Llandogo trow,
I passed a young maid in a beautiful gown,
with frock in her hand and with flowers in her hair,
I swear that I've never seen maiden so fair.
But when I looked back she was gone from my sight,
and I was alone on that bright summer night.

Just for fun :)

On a bright summer evening in Llandogo trow,
I passed a young maid in a beautiful gown,
with frock in her hand and with flowers in her hair,
I swear that I've never seen maiden so fair.
But when I looked back she was gone from my sight,
and I was alone on that bright summer night.

I wandered the lane while the twilight grew pale,
Bewitched by the charm of her rose-scented trail,
A hush in the hedgerows and soft in the breeze,
Her laughter still lingered among the dark trees.
Now lost in the longing of memory’s ken,
My soul's only wish is to see her again.

Though sorrowful longing might burden my days,
I choose not to break this enchantment's deep haze;
For sorrow is sweet when it stirs in the heart,
A delicate ache that tears comfort apart.
So let her remain in the hush of my mind,
for what we have lost reveals what we can find.
