Help plz! I think this song is called "The Blood"

Hello.
This song was song by a man. I thought it was Mike Bowling or Jason Crabb, but I cannot find it anywhere. I cannot remember the 2nd verse at all and am missing part of the chorus. Internet searches pull up nothing. The first verse is something like this.
I was a prisoner, the judge was old Satan
I knew there was no hope for me
I was guilty as charged as he read my sentence
That death would be my penalty
But just before midnight, Jesus passed by
He had a message written in red
It was from Calvary, it was a pardon for me
? . . . and here’s what it said.
Chorus:
The blood says I’m free, the blood says I’m whole
The blood when applied saved my sinful soul
The blood says forgiven, I’m newborn today
The blood never changes it still saves today
