Looking for a song - I love you Jesus in the night

Looking for a old song

This might be a long shot but I'm trying to find a song for my dad. He plays what he can by memory but he can't recall all the words. He heard it when he was in bible school in the 90s if that can give an idea when it may have come out. The lyrics that he can recall are:

It starts out as "I love you Jesus in the night." Then goes onto ->"In the day"

"I love you when troubles come, and when things don't go my way. I love you for what you've done, I love you just for you. I love you as you first loved me, and you're coming back again."

If anyone is familiar with this song or has an idea how I might be able to find it, I'd very much appreciate the help. I've search Lord knows how many hours/days on the internet with no success. I'm wondering now if it is perhaps a song from a vinyl record or tape.

Replying as I'm having trouble logging back in to edit this post. FYI as far as I'm aware I don't think the title of the hymnal is 'I love you Jesus in the night ' I just know that's how it starts. Also I'm only guessing if it really was released in the 90s because I know that's when he first heard it. I have tried hymnary with no success.
